There has been a link made between real-life crime and violent video games by the media. However, this thesis and project, Danger Space, conclude that there is a negative correlation between these two topics. Moreover, there is a positive correlation between elevated levels of aggression for players and violent video games. Other factors could also contribute to this aggression such as biology, family environment, and personality. Danger Space is a first-person shooter game made with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. Danger Space lets the audience explore what different violent effects have on a video game experience.
